I guess I´ve gotten into the swing of things for this semester. I´ve realized that I have a lot of free time and I have to figure out some ways in which I won´t end up feeling like a lazy bum. I´ve decided that I´m going to paint a lot while I´m here. My host mom paints and has a mini studio set up in the basement/garage, so its really convenient. I just have to get over my laziness enought to go out and buy paint and supplies and such.
I also want to swim a lot while I´m here. Yesterday I took a walk around the area I live in with my friend from my program, Margaret. About a mile away theres this really nice hidden park thats in the middle of no where. Its got a soccer field, playground, and best of all, a pool. I will be spending a lot of time there.
Interesting side-note: Margaret lives with a host family too, but she recently changed her housing because her first host family sucked. So the program found her another house and I knew it was nearby, but I didn´t realize until yesterday that her new house is almost directly behind my house and I can see through her living room window from my bedroom window.
Funny to think that I´m going into my 3rd week of the semester now when all of my friends from bennington aren´t even in vermont yet.
