Long Lost Friend post

Feb 27, 2006 12:07

I can hardly believe I was speaking to 'Sam' this morning on my phone. It was just the way it should be when you haven't spoken to a friend for a long time. We picked up right where we left off and I'm shocked with how little things have changed with her. Other than her kid getting older (as well as her), she seems to have the same fun-loving pottymouth I enjoyed the last time we congregated.

We talked about the major things happening (or in my case, not happening) in our lives and exchanged info for later discussions (left best away from our workplaces). I could hear her smiling on the other end of the phone and I could picture her (in my head) once again.

This woman is significant in that she's the first girl I ever became good friends with after she knew how I feel about her. I must've had a crush on her for atleast 5 years before she really knew how it was. Throughout my history with her, we've gone in and out of eachothers' lives picking up where we left off last, so this 'finding her again' is something I'm just used to doing when I feel the need to keep in touch.

I'm hesitant to give her this URL in light of the content, but I think this is just me forgetting rule #1 of airing your dirty laundry on the net:

"Rule #1: You can't allow the prospect of others judgement upon you effect what you write"

Right, so I guess that settles things, doesn't it?
