Although an unintended giggle for me, was for the mention of the large, marble inlaid table - that'll take a lot of people to move (there's a similar on at one of the sites at work I'm assured took a minimum of 8 burly men to move...)
I loved the interaction between them in this chapter. Quiet and kind. Waiting for McCoy's famous temper/passion to make an appearance. Thx for the update!!
Oh Jim, ILU. He's so brilliant and clueless all at once!
I always found it interesting how there was a sort of double standard for men and women-- like men could be naughty and it was just brushed aside. But I imagine that if Jim married for love he'd cease and desist because, well, she'd have to be a tough chick. And if not, well, society would turn a blind eye to extracurricular activities.
It's not something that I go into a lot of detail with in the fic, but I get the feeling that Jim womanises mostly out of boredom. Once he decides to be faithful, he'd leave that part of his life behind.
Just stopping by to say that this story is EXTREMELY addicting--just the kind of thing to read on a snowy winter eve, haha. I refresh every few hours (minutes, seconds, whatever.......) hoping for a new update :D

AM thoroughly enjoying this story (but then you started me on the Regency fiction in the first place, didn't you...)
