And Dirk has a rather disappointing MVP trophy, it is time for basketball fans to start looking towards the next season. And by basketball fans, I mean Mav fans.

I have had to listen to a lot of crap over the last few weeks about how "you can't win a title with Dirk Nowitski as your #1".

Hogwash.

While I would agree Avery was "schooled", I do not blame him for the Mavs post season troubles. This team is soft & needs to man up

I think your assessment is fair. I pretty much agree with it all of it except that I think the Devean George is a solid vet and should remain on the team and Crow can go. I'm pretty sure that your assessment was based on the playoffs and not the regular season. Devean was our best bench player for the first half of the season until he hurt his knee. After he hurt his knee he was vulnerable on D and he's the type of player that gets his offense going from his D. They pretty much misused him and Buck for the whole playoffs, plus it didn't help much that GS has a very quick back-court. I don't think Dirk is a perennial playoff choker but he did choke this year. The bottom-line is game planned or not, he should have dominated GS. It doesn't all fall on him because if other player could have stepped up and won a game for the Mavs in that series it would have been a different situation... The Mavs just needed to put some pressure on GS but they couldn't.... GS is a house of cards and with a little pressure they fold
