Epic massive Con post
Bakuretsu Con 2010 was a epic con this year, with all the Cosplayers, Guests, Con staff and the Wonderfull Hotel. first off, Silvermane was such a huge hit this year, people asked me about him and were I got him. People took pics of him during the Convention in his Steampunk getup. I stayed in character about 80-90 percent of the time because wearing a partial with a fur covered foam rubber mask, it's hot inside Silvermane and so I drank plenty of Powerade during the Convention. I also entered Silvermane in the Masguerade this year, as a walk on. It had so much fun walking on the stage in werewolf style and doing Werewolf poses for the Crowd, it felt sooooo good. They used Fuedalk Japanese music for my walk on and it set the mood for me. People clapped when I walk off staqe to get back to my chair. Next year I will be bring him back, to have a howling good time
The cosplayers this year were Awsome, most of them were so epic. I saw about 5 Doctors runing around the Convention hall. 2 were David Tennet's Doctor and 3 were Matt Smith's Doctor. I met up with a matt Smith doctor, we talked about Doctor Who and he showed me a Sonic Screwdiver toy, he had. Then My jaw fell on the floor when, I saw somebody in a full Werewolf Costume(not a cheap one). Then I realized who made it, but I'm not telling who ;) That other Werewolf and Silvermane posed together for photos. In one the poses we were pretending to fighting eachother and I won. The best Costume I saw, was a Daughter and Mother Cosplay. The mother was a Houndoom and the daughter was a Houndour. It was cute and during the Masquerade, they both won Best in Show.
The pannels were very good also, one of them was about Haunted house work. The Host was a SFX makeup worker/actor for Bate's Motel and Haunted Hayride. He told us that he used to work for Verdun Manor back in the early 2000's as one of the Werewolves. He pasted around his mask he used for Verdun. I was just blown away at the Detail of the mask and I was speachless. Another Pannel, was a Who's line is it anyway for cosplayers, I had so much fun getting up there and doing funny skit's. The Irish Drinking Song was LMAO funny with my up there as Silvermane. I got a free Ghost in the Shell DVD for just getting up there and making a fool of myself.
All in all I had a great time this year, I made new friend and saw old ones. I just cant wait for next year because I will be unveiling Silvermane 2.0 The Only thing that happened, I just blewout my voice on saturday when trying to talk like a werewolf. I'm counting the days untile Baku 10 and it's going to be epic. As for my Loot this year I got a Scetch Commission of Silvermane, Steampunk Goggle's, a Fox pin and a werewolf art key chain :)
