i go walking in your landscape

so this afternoon, the time i had committed to doing literary analysis junk, i napped, and i dreamed that there was a wedding at mio's. there was butcher paper lining the aisle between the two person tables and the booths, and the people in the booths were tossing the silverware tabs at the bride's feet as she passed. and she was carrying an armful of rolled silverware instead of flowers. so the bride and groom met at the register, where stood my manager, dan, who performed the ceremony, and punched their responses to the like 'do you take this man' questions into the computer. then they fished around in the basket with the after-dinner mints until they found their rings, which they exchanged, and then dan pronounced them husband and wife, and everyone in the kitchen cheered and banged dishes. then a delivery boy drove them away. all i remember thinking is "that butcher paper on the floor isn't going to fit in the garbage can, and those tabs are going to be a bitch to clean up'
if i ever need a really inexpensive and tasteless wedding, i so know what i'm doing. i hope this was some kind of premonition.
