"The Simpsons" Season Premiere Tonight

"The Simpsons" are moving into Season 18 tonight with a Mobsters/Sopranos esque episode..

I've always loved "The Simpsons", and alot has to be said for an animated series to be in FOX's Prime Time Line up for 18 years and to continue to deliver some of the most intellegent creative humor and pop culture references on TV.. Many would argue that the show has lacked the past couple of years, and while that may, arguably be the case, the Simpsons is still miles ahead of many other shows.. .

It is true that there have been many intellegent animated series coming out over the years, examples have included "Futurama" (if that was your thing, it wasn't mine), and "King of the Hill" other shows like "The Family Guy" and "Ren and Stimpy" delivered great humor and episodes that may have topped some of the latter Simpsons episodes, BUT with mass appeal and mass marketing comes the dumbing down of the shows, which is something that "The Simpsons" hasn't fallen victim to the way that "Family Guy" and "South Park" have in recent years.. More Perverse Humor = More 12 year old boys are watching, but there's only so many dick and fart jokes I can handle in a half an hour..

So, tonight, The Legacy Continues......
