This entry has nothing really to do with the last one.
So very much fun to be had last night. I got to go to my very first VIP party for the kick off of MusicFestNW. It was kinda strange.
It was held in the Jupiter Hotel and certain ground rooms were designated for sponcers to push their wares. This equaled to free hair cuts, free massages, free makeovers...crazy. It felt a little weird to partake in that sort of sport during a party, so I declined. I stuck to the free beer and gelato. Not a good combination, but one I made with decisiveness.
I don't know if anyone knows who Mike King is, but he is a god in my country. He designs the coolest rock posters for some of the greatest bands passing through p-town and beyond. His latest poster is 3-D, including the glasses. Well, I got to ride around in a promotional Scion last night with him, yup. This means little to anyone else, but was really sureal for me. I did my best not to geek out on him and actually refrained from proclaiming my love for his work while drooling all over myself. In addition to be a superb designer, he's decent folk.
And then I got to see a lot of rock music with some fun people.
I ran into three people from high school:
Adam LeBrun
Philipa (forgot her last name)
Nicole Barrett
Really, really wierd.
OH and I got to drive the Scion later, seeing that I was the only one who refrained from getting blitzed. fuckin' fun little go cart that is. It was yellow.
Today. Derek called this morning which was wonderful! He'll be back for thanksgiving and christmas!
I believe I pick up my bike today too, which will be fabulous.
AND there's more MusicFestNW to do. Tonight is Helio Sequence and whatever else there is about.
I have to be productive this weekend and I don't want to. No more client-esk people.
