Comments: 2:00PM Time For Change, the mini-album that made all the hottests all around the world realize just how talented these group of men are. This mini-album started off with "What Time Is It Now", one minute and seven seconds of a contemporary, bass beating segment including ex-member/leader Jaebeom's rap. "What time is now? . . .it's two.p.m. You hear that? . . .it's two.p.m." With a limited time and only just an intro, Jaebeom managed to capture hottests and prepare them for a mini-album full of pure and utter entertainment.
"Again & Again" is track two and based on personal opinion, the was okay, but not great. The lyrics were quite up to par and the beat made you want to dance, but the video totally threw off the greatest that this song could have been. Lacking dance moves made the video slightly repulsive for me, so in return it turned off my opinion for the song.
"I Hate You" is a song that almost every boy band comes out with at least once; a tale about an unrequited love. While the basic meaning of the song bored me to bits and pieces, I do have to admit that the lyrics are creatively written and thus the overall song structure is slightly better in my head. The video was one of those, it-has-nothing-to-do-with-the-song-but-it-is-pretty-cool videos. It shows videos of the, whether it be behind the scenes, making of videos, interviews, fan meetings, etc. While the video and song didn't go hand in hand, I prefer this over "Again & Again" any day.
"You Might Come Back" is one of those songs that hit in the face, by that I mean that, I never expected to hear a song like this come from them. I never doubted their abilities, but I never thought that there talents would exceed more than they already had. "You Might Come Back" is another one of those love songs telling about losing someone you love and in the end, they leave you, but you wait in hopes of them returning to your side. It's not the lyrics that make this, it's actually their vocal abilities. Rather than showing off their usual, eye candy, boy band image, they actually showed a softer look to them. This is song showed that 2PM is more than just another boy band with sexy men and can actually put out a song that showcases vocals. This song is probably a relief to a hottest like me, it shows that eye candy can be just as sophisticated as they are sexy.
Overall, this mini-album is rather entertaining. Some songs lacked, but other songs picked up where others lacked. I definitely recommend this mini-album to those people looking for new Korean pop that offers more than just your everyday rookie boy band attitude.
