... I've been forgetting a heckton of stuff recently. Just outright forgetting. Most of them aren't important things, just little things like if I ate, said something, read something, went somewhere. Stuff like that. I chalk it up to sleeping on the floor this week.

Anyway, here's some stuff about ARML Thursday that I've been wanting to post for a while, so you'll know what went on while I was in PA. :)

I had to get up around 5:30 so that we'd be in Canton by 8:45, and then we went to pick up another kid from my school. So we arrived at Canton about 20 minutes early, just before the bus arrived. Loaded stuff onto the bus, people got on, eventually it hit 8:45 and we left.

See, now, we spend the next 45 minutes driving BACK towards the town where I live so that we could pick up the kids from a boarding school, whom we were meeting at a McDonald's. Once I realized, I was like, "Well, damn. I could've slept for an extra hour and just driven here instead." Buuut whatever.

So on the bus ride I met some cool people (my roommate Elizabeth, who was very sweet and extremely intelligent, Susan, Sherrie, Paul, Lisa;, and Elise, who has leet art skillz) and learned a new card game called President. At about 12:00 I was pretty hungry, since I was too nauseous to eat much in the morning, which is actually a very rare occurrence. But, other people had to get up pretty early, too, so we were ready to stop for food. Unfortunately, the bus driver wanted to push till we got to Pennsylvania. So he told us, we'll stop for food at 2:00. Not so. Then he told us, 2:30. Not so. We finally stopped for lunch at 3:00.

We arrived at Penn State (the university) around 7:00 ish and waited to get our keys to the rooms. After all that was sorted, we headed to the dorms only to find out that our cards didn't open the door to our dorms, but rather, to Fisher Hall, which connected our dorms to the boys' dorms. So we waited, again, to get our keys working. Around 8:50, we finally decided we would HAVE to get dinner, and we'd come back for the keys later.

We ate at this place called Big Bowl Noodle House (excellent food and big portions for relatively cheap), but we couldn't eat in the restaurant because it was too late and they were going to close. So we got takeout. While we waited, we visited McLanahan's, which was the campus store, and I stocked up on granola bars in case the same thing happened on the ride back.

Stupidly, I attacked my bubble tea first and had a mild case of sugar shock, oops. But it was all fixed after I got some noodles in me and waited for a while. We headed back to the dorms, takeout in tow, to finish eating after lights-out, which was supposed to be at 10:00. Buuut because our chaperone was also late, lights-out didn't come till 11:00, so we had enough time to shower etc. Aaaaaaand that was basically the first day, consisting mostly of the 8 hour bus ride.

Some other random things:

-GSA says they support GLBTQ. What about asexuals?
-Seeing the cast photos from Prince Caspian events makes me wish I were cool enough to be in a movie like that and have such strong friendships with my costars. But I don't have acting skills, haha.
-In spite of the heat, the weather around here has been gorgeous recently.
-I want to see Wall-E. I've been hearing about it for like three years. It's about time the thing came out.
-One of the seniors' class songs was called "Eighteen Forever", at which point I realized I'm not going to be 18 when I graduate.
-I downloaded the first episode of RD Sennou Chousashitsu (Real Drive), and it's... it has the potential to be good. I dunno if I'm going to watch the second episode. The art style is like Chevalier's, and it goes into basically what happens to humans when they start to rely too much on technology. There's some really awkwardly-placed fanservice, too. Sooo I dunno.

Done now. :)

arml, rambletiemz!
