Work Sucks. I Know.

I pretty much hate live journal, but I had to update for this little gem....and apparently also to sing praise for the glory that is Eric Benge. There. I did it. Your moment is now over.

So,I'm working at the photo studio at Target now, and I've been doing these practice shoots with people to get ready to actually take pictures of regular paying customers. Now, one would think that for a person that has taken god knows how many pictures that this wouldn't be a big deal. Wrong! The company has a list of "problem" children that have trouble getting their pictures taken (with crying and whatnot); my manager has set-up over half of my practice shoots with appointments from that call list. So, yesterday when my district manager came in, she started critiquing my pictures, and she came upon this set that I had shot of an autistic kid. She proceeded to give me shit because I hadn't varied his poses enough, and his facial expression wasn't ideal for a family that wanted a classic portrait of their son.

So, of course I was respectful and I said I'd work on the problem and so on and so forth, but really I was thinking.........."Of course his poses aren't varied. There are only so many angles that a wheelchair can posed in. I'll see if I can just get him to do a little jig on the table for you!" ; Automatically then, the second thought that came to mind was, "No, I can't get him to wipe that shit eating grin off of his face for you!"

So, there it is. I made fun of an autistic kid in my journal. What are you gonna' do about it punk?!?!?
