Ok so my back has been killing me forever. Turns out it's not really my back, it's part of my hip. Chad explained to me exactly what part it is, but he said it's because I have no glute muscles.
I'm basically a walking sack of fat. I'm not in good shape at all. Fat is no big deal, but when that's ALL YOU HAVE, and no muscle, problems start to occur. My body fucking HURTS all the time. Walking and standing makes my back/hip hurt even more. Saturday night my ass was hurting so bad I wanted to cry. All this constant pain is making me really cranky.
I know working out fixes these problems but I've not worked out in almost a year. Mostly because I work late, and have to cook dinner, clean, grocery shop, and work on my projects and whatnot. Not a whole lot of time in there for weight lifting and marathon running.
Today I got desperate enough to break down and dig my pilates dvds out. I did 45 minutes of the body band one, because I couldn't find my beginners dvd.
It felt sooooooooooooooooooooooo good. For the rest of the day, I was able to bend over and pick shit up with little to no pain. It's like my muscles are just atrophied from lack of use, and stretching them got them to stop hurting. Duh.
