So Joy and I went hiking at a place called
World's End in Hingham, Massachusetts (which is basically across the harbor from Boston). It took us a couple hours to get there -- first we had to take the T to Quincy Center, then we had to take a bus for half an hour, and then we walked for another half an hour before we actually got to the trails.
It was totally worth the commute though, and I took 72 gorgeous pictures while I was there (I'm only posting some of them here, though). Things went pretty smoothly for the most part; it was a beautiful day, perfect temperature, and I managed not to dislocate anything, despite falling once. My white pants got stained (which is in the pictures), but the pattern looked kinda cool. :|
We also spotted a fox, which was quite exciting! Unfortunately it wasn't close enough to get a good picture. And there were lots of pretty butterflies.
The only part where I was really miserable was at the end of the trail, when my boot was pressing into my ankle and bruising it so I couldn't really walk anymore. Which made the half hour walk back to the bus intensely painful. XD I thought I'd busted my ankle, but once I got back to the dorm, I realized it was just a boot problem -- probably because I only just bought them, and hadn't actually broken them in yet. So my ankle is fine! Just bruised.
And now, for pics~. There are 28 of them, so this is an image-heavy post here!
