In a post dated almost exactly two years ago (also noteworthy for the cute comments from fairyarmadillo and pokiedot asking if I will please be their friend), I expressed joy and excitement at leaving my somewhat boring non-profit job working for the Jews to take an exciting and challenging job in the lucrative and creative field of graphic design and branding.

Well, as I've posted about repeatedly in the intervening two years, this job has not been exciting, challenging, lucrative, or even creative. Don't get me wrong, I've learned a ton here, but the last year or so of this job has been rough, and not at all fun.

Well, all of that is about to change. In an amusing twist of irony, my previous employer (the Jews) decided to upgrade my old position to Management level, with correspondingly higher levels of both responsibility and $$ from when I was there before, underpaid and a little bored. After aceofkittens alerted me to the job listing (thanks for that), I've spent the last month or so going through their at times agonizingly long job interview process. Perhaps foolishly, they believed my assertion that my two years in the corporate world of branding and design qualifies me for the position of Marketing and Communications Manager. And so today, I told my boss that I would be leaving sometime around the end of the month. Ace promptly sent me this someecard, of course.

That telling my boss part was harder than I expected, and I think the rest of my departure will also be tough. But I am sooooo glad to be making this change. Yay me!
