The Cylon colony is orbiting a naked singularity... Now so far the show hasn't gone too far into hard-science/sf territory. Either they meant a black hole (a singularity cloaked in an event horizon for modesty) or spacetime is seriously messed up in the area....
Either way, things could get very interesting.
Kara Thrace will lead them to the end...the end of human history. I predict that the survivors will end up lost in the past and founding the planet Kobol.
