an update written to be awesome for no-talky-guy
so i was on the phone with no-talky-guy last night and he complained that i never update my lj... he needs the entertainment that my lj provides, i suppose. so i'll try and make this as awesome as possible, but i can't make any promises because you all know how boring my life is...
so i had my birthday party on may 15th, which was fun times. i was really surprised that some people i invited actually showed up, but it was cool to see juliaandsteve, who i now consider to be one person, and i think i my dad owes me 10 bucks now because no-talky-guy showed up too. i'm really glad he came though, i missed him a lot and seeing him was good for the most part. it was the standard laframboise family party for the first part... lots of filipino people, karaoke and mahjong, tons of chinese food, a pig in a cardboard box, and five million sticky desserts made out of rice. so after the obligatory 'look good for the family' time, i broke out the cheap wine and drank with no-talky-guy, scott, mer, and her friends, 'the faces' katie, katie, sam, and michele. i think we're all pretty familiar with my drunkenness, but for your entertainment, here are some highlights from the evening...
so yeah, that was my birthday party.
in other news, i got my camera. digital cameras are fun times. i'm excited. :)
so... other things that i've done...
i went and saw troy with the merrrr... i liked it, and not just because it has orlando bloom and brad pitt in it. it was actually a decent movie i think. i was expecting orlando to be hector... not that pussy paris, but that's okay.
i went shopping with scott for new clothes for him to wear in japan. i'm so envious that he's going to japan and i'm not. :( after that we went shopping for mer for some stuff for her to wear for her senior pictures. i can't believe my mer is a senior already.
i think i'm going to the relay for life with marc this friday night and maybe saturday... not really sure what this is all about, but it could be fun i guess.
hopefully tomorrow i'm going out to constantine to visit no-talky-guy... otherwise i have nothing planned for tomorrow.
and now for some randomness...
i really think i'm having a sleeping problem. even on nights when i didn't take any naps that day and only got 3 or 4 hours of sleep the night before i stay up until 4 or 5 because i can't sleep. i try to sleep but it doesn't work so i just sit up all night watching tv shows on my computer. i've watched all the sex and the city i have, and i'm working my way through scrubs right now. i'd watch dvds, but my awesome roommate packed my dvd cable... the red yellow white one, with her vcr so i don't have a way to connect my dvd player to my tv. so yeah. i haven't been sleeping well.
and, one more thing just for fun and bunnies. i really do heart the faces. mer, if you read this, i approve of your friends. faces, if you read this, i heart you guys *hug*.
