after months of owning the cd and listening to it far more times than is healthy, i still feel the dire need to relate to the world just how desperately amazing the new decemberists cd, the crane wife, is. seriously. i can honestly say that it's successfully cured me of my speeding problem, as it is the sort of cd that you will drive ridiculously slow just to listen to it for as long as possible, then once you've arrived at your destination sit in the car because you can't bear to tear your heart away from its perfect tones and its devastating lyrics. truly. all they're albums are amazing, but listen to the crane wife.
