YAAAAAAAY YOU AND YOUR THOUGHTS I LIKE YOU AND YOUR THOUGHTS.
I guess i've come around on realizing, oh, MYTHOLOGICAL SPACE FANTASY, yeah that appeals to my interests! This movie is about ELVES WITH SPACESHIPS.
And the brother stuff in this was really great. Yes!
My favorite part was when Thor went to visit his cell and told him to drop the illusion -- even though the trailers had shown hobo junkie Loki, the whole picture of his trashed cell and going from the poised, put-together Loki to the real, devastated one was so affecting. YES!! That was done so so so well and, exactly, they had even shown that shot of Loki in the trailer but it didn't ping me until after the illusion dropped.
THE CLIMACTIC PORTAL BATTLE WAS THE BESSSSTTTTTT. Oh my GOD it was like nothing I'd ever seen except maybe Jumper but let's pretend that never happened right.
I love Jane and science. She saved the world with science!
I did not like that they added in a few random Sif/Thor mentions and Sif jealousy of Jane and then never did anything with it.I
( ... )
Oooh i've never seen Jumper but i'm sure it wasn't as good as this. Probably the best boss fight of any of the MCU so far; I mean the Avengers was fun and excellently edited but nowhere near as unique as PORTALS!!!
Ugh see i recognized Zachary Levi and it turned me off because i don't like him. So my desire for less Fandral is pretty biased. Plus i can never adjust to recasting, i'm always so hyper-aware that the actor is different and my suspension of disbelief is shot. It's not like i really cared about original Fandral or anything, it's just that change distracts me. :/ Maybe if i just start explaining away casting changes as "they're a Time Lord who regenerated" i would be able to accept it.
It sounded like people liked The Wolverine, but the trailers really didn't make it look like much of an improvement over the other one. I'm still bitter that the Aronofsky-directed version fell through. >:(
I should have written about Breaking Bad, then you could comment! I had started to write a post about Ozymandias when that aired but then i just did not have the energy to continue, and by the time the finale came around everybody else talked about it so much better anyway. Sigh.
Haha aww, I feel you there. I can't remember, did I blog about the finale? (On Tumblr, probably yes. On here, I am like months behind and it's insane and I don't know how I'll ever catch up. SIGH. But I'm determined to do it, dammit! Out of nothing more anymore than sheer stubbornness.)
lalala skipping over the things i haven't seen (oblivion, though for the first few sentences i will say even if it sucks i bet i'll like the pretty visuals) and thor i haven't seen. but i will say i feel the same about marvel, like sooooo many people are batshit about it on tumblr. and i love the movies but it is almost like 'i love you but i want to blacklist you so i don't become apathetic
( ... )
i read an interview that said she may or may not come back. idk i never read the comics, she's still in the credits. In the comics, she's basically a completely different character. I hope she comes back because she's become one of the show's best characters.
and i love the movies but it is almost like 'i love you but i want to blacklist you so i don't become apathetic'YES. "I love you but i want to blacklist you" is a lot of my tumblr experience. It's hard not to get burnt out on the good stuff AND the bad stuff in equal measure. And it feels dumb to get annoyed with fandom for being fandom, but man sometimes it's just too much for me
( ... )
i actually blacklist a lot of shows i watch just because they happen to be ones i don't wanna be come too inundated with. or also everyone else ~loves them a lot and i just don't love it that much, or yeah getting burnt out. it is necessary.
i'm not gonna be the dope who says if so and so dies i'll quit111!!!1! butttttt at the same time i will be s/mad and continue to live in denial
that's another thing. if they REALLY wanted to get rid of her after all this development they would kill her??? i mean writing her off by dumping her alive somewhere and making it ambiguous is not their style! something is in the works, it must be!
omg have i hit my head and forgotten i've seen them though? you could totally do one of your infamous parallelospams as i call them
A couple weeks ago i actually had a dream that there was a Sif/Loki prequel movie wherein they went hunting together as young adults and it looked beautiful and amazing (it was entitled "Dark Places"
