The Office
I totally loved this episode! MICHAEL AND HOLLY. I DO NOT EVEN UNDERSTAND HOW I SHIP THEM SO MUCH BUT THEY ARE ADORABLE. They share the same sense of humor, which is so endearing even despite the fact that it is MICHAEL'S sense of humor! Holly owns it much better though, she is more self-aware and less awkward about it and therefore just kind of badass in her weirdness. HOODWINKING THE CAMERAS AND MAKING OUT NON-SECRETLY! TALKING ABOUT HAVING SEX IN THE OFFICE! I LIKE THEM.
Dwiiiiiiiight depressed the goddamn hell out of me. Confiding in Phyllis and looking at Angela so sadly and raising the bids by one cent! OH, DWIGHT.
JIM AND ROY. AMAZINGNESS. Man right from the season premiere i had a feeling that Jim might take on Roy's former role this season, and he is trying so hard to fight against it and not be jealous and possessive of Pam in her new life and it is making me sad. ARGH. RELATIONSHIPS.
Huey Lewis and the News!!!!
Mad Men
END OF THE WORLD: MAD MEN STYLE. :D Especially compared to how pretty and optimistic the end of last week's episode was (Don in the surf, with the music, and he really does love Betty, and AWW, DON. Sometimes you're alright, buddy!) this was all crazy and depressing and fucked. Eeeeesh. But prepping for a nuclear apocalypse is a pretty great way to do a season finale.
PEGGY TELLING PETE. AAAAAHHHHHHHHH YESSSSSSS. My jaw dropped at Pete telling her he loves her, and then to actually hear Peggy say the words "you got me pregnant" was amazing, particularly looking at it from Pete's perspective. Surpriiiiiiise! It was so awesome, but Pete's reaction at the end of it still made me sad. Sucks to be him.
I wish Father Gill weren't always telling Peggy she is going to burn in eternal hellfire and would make out with her instead. :(
Betty was wildly depressing. It was pretty weird to see Don taking care of the kids while she was out screwing around, it's like bizarro world. (Betty! screwing around! WTF!) I do want those two to work it out, especially since Don finally admitted his mistakes (!! WTF!).
The Don/Joan/Peggy corner is now my favorite area in all of Sterling Cooper. Don and Peggy. Are office neighbors. :D
HEY, DUCK: WHOOPS. Oh man, Don saying he doesn't have a contract and the look on Duck's face was the best "OH, SNAP" moment ever.
I want it to be next season now! I wonder if they're going to skip ahead another year and a half.
Re: SNL!
The Mad Men sketch was alright (YAY CAMEOS!) but the real highlight was Don Draper's Guide To Picking Up Women. Every single one of his looks to the camera deserves an animated .gif icon. "Take six-hour lunches. Disappear for weeks at a time. Lie to everyone about everything." LOLOLOLOLOL
Jon Hamm's John Ham made me laugh too much. "Feel like a dummy yet? 'Cause you should."
AMY!!!!!!!! BABY!!!!!!!!!!!! AWWWWWWWWW. OMFG AMY POEHLER/WILL ARNETT OFFSPRING IS FINALLY A PART OF THE WORLD. :D :D :D :D It's pretty crazy that she went into labor on a Saturday and everything.
