space cowboys and princesses

Due in part to my current BSG resurgence whatever-the-heck, i rented White Noise 2, as i had been wanting to see it since i first heard about it simply because it stars Nathan Fillion and Katee Sackhoff. Together for the first time! As expected, the movie itself was totally, totally dumb (direct to dvd, what what!), but luckily it was also ( Read more... )

I loved Enchanted! And that's a huge admission coming from a once-lover of Disney who now HATES them as much as I do, lol. Amy Adams is a total peach, I adore her. I've loved her ever since she played the dippy, promiscuous cheerleader in my guilty pleasure favorite black comedy, Drop Dead Gorgeous. And JODI BENSON, OMG MY CHILDHOOD. I like, wanted to BE her when I was seven, okay? MEMORIES.

Nathan Fillion is... a gorgeous thing. I love those caps, they are just lovely! Why is he so pretty? Or rather, why do they insist on sticking such pretty into such a terrible movie? That's probably the more relevant important question.

You hate Disney as in the movies that you once loved, or the company itself? Because yeah, the company makes terrible choices and ruins tons of shit, and yet i am still so loyal to the movies and the theme parks. It's a hard life. :(

Or rather, why do they insist on sticking such pretty into such a terrible movie?

A QUESTION FOR THE AGES.

Oh, I could never hate the movies I loved -- I still love them as much as ever! It's the company I hate, and the movies they've been making in the past... ten years, give or take. You could argue that The Lion King (followed by a few exceptions) was the last great film they ever made.

Haha, basically the main thing it takes to separate Katee from Kara in my mind is to dress her in real clothes. It's like Clark Kent wearing glasses!

For what it's worth, only two of the songs that were performed at the Oscars were performed by characters in the movie, and they were better in context; i wasn't crazy about them when i first heard them either. I was annoyed that Enchanted took up almost the whole song category, i despise when they over-nominate stuff like that. ENOUGH ALREADY. Patrick Dempsey was difficult to tolerate, but my dislike of him did not by any means overshadow my enjoyment of the movie. I am just saying!

Enchanted is the best thing ever! It really did make me laugh my head off! I and was so on the verge of tears during the first animation part... oh so so so beautiful!!! <3 Give back 2D animation... DISNEEEEEEEEY! I totally agree about what you said about Disney making a movie about its own movies... and also making fun of them. That's what so good in this movie! One of the best movies of last year in my small stupid opinion. <3
And being a fan of Patrick Dempsey... I couldn't ask more. In the end... when he sings... LOL
I adore adore adore this movie! :P

And thank you for the gorgeous caps... way to make me want to see a crappy movie... didn't know Nathan and Katee had made a movie together. Oh the pretty!
