When it's cocks v. gators, distribution day is beyond imaginable

Alright, so here's what I remember from the craziness that just happened here on the USC campus.

Well, gosh, no close loss to Tennessee after one to Vandy can stop our fans. Ivan's friends were apparently out there since 7 last night. I also learned that some people near the front aren't very friendly. Um, so yeah, I got word that at around 10pm there were people with a tent and about 30-40 people out there already waiting outside the door. People laughed at me when I said I wanted to get out there around 3am..said they were going later. Yeah well I got 2 phone calls back-to-back from Christine & Pat at 1am telling me to get out there now, the line was already to the library.

So I grabbed my sweater, my quilt, Cheerios, and cards (by request--only to be not used at all..bah) and headed for Greene St.

On to the good stuff. I remember: meeting up with Courtney P, Chris, Ashley P, Ashley L, Christine (I walked there with Curtis). Kedar showed up and brought some "pizza". I saw D-Nel and when I went to visit him, a boy with a guitar was playing and singing and then he sang a song for me (about me). I saw GC kids as well. Ummm Ashley L. & I went walking and we made friends with the teepee guys (yes, someone had one out there...and someone else had a hammock too!) Oh and I met up with Ivan who happened to be right next to us, and we called Tommy out there, and being the insane person he is, he, par request de Ivan, brought the hookah. So yes, the sketchy music boys (I kid) enjoyed their hookah and we froze our asses off in the middle of the night. Quick shots of bourbon in a flask helped warm us up for a little, but after about 20 minutes, that too wore off.

It was fun. I was quite excited at first of the fun festivities and bonding, but after the cold set in, I just kept trying to layer and keep warm. The hardest hours were between 6:30 and 8am when we had left our spot (after sprinting once the building opened and people got in the stairwell) and just barely got to move at all because all the boys in shorts with bookbags cut in line ahead of us...or so I was told.

Oh yeah, and I made fun slightly of Ashley & her yankee-ness. I tend to do that. I kid because I care.

I think I'll nap now before class. It was interesting..and it'll be the last time I ever ever stand in line for tickets :(
