The maintenance person showed up yesterday.
The heater switch sparked up nicely for him, so some sort of replacement is in order (either the fuse inside the switch or the whole switch itself). He didn't have the parts to do anything yesterday with this, so it's supposed to happen today.
The light in the bedroom of course worked after replacing the bulb again, but the fixture is still rather loose. He said he'd tighten or replace it today.
The outlet got swapped. But, in rather odd fashion, he didn't shut off the power to swap it, and was done with the swapping when all of a sudden the whole flat went black. He thought he burned out the fuse wire to the place (apparently some places over here are wired with a master piece of fuse wire which can only be replaced by the electric company), but it turns out he tripped a breaker to the place. This breaker was conveniently located two floors down in the garage, behind a panel lacking a handle, and mislabelled. The odd thing was that nothing tripped in the main panel up here (which is I would have wagered money on)...
I worked an overnight at work. I'm slightly groggy after four-ish hours of sleep after coming home. I took a three-and-a-half hour nap before work yesterday. Thankfully I'm back to more humane time Wednesday.
