Last night I created a lit circle revolving around revolutionaries/leaders who've changed society (for my student teacher--a long story). What I already know will happen will break my heart: the kids will not know who the women on the list were and will rank what they have to say below the others.

Any ideas for earth-shattering women to put on the list? I'll need something from them, and articles about their impact (needs to be able to be researched).
