Realization about a classic movie...
I was flipping through the channels tonight, and came across Gone with the Wind. Having not seen it since watching it for the pretty dresses when I was 12 or so, and having nothing better to do with four hours, I watched. Anyways, I feel I need to say this out loud.
Scarlett is a BITCH.
Gah! I don't think I've ever seen a romantic heroine who I so thoroughly dislike. The woman has no redeeming qualities. Unless you consider bitchiness and the ability to induce an innate rage in normally agreeable people redeeming qualities. I'm in no way in favor of violence against women, but if Rhett had gotten out that horsewhip like he threatened, there is no part of me that would not have cheered. Someone needs to smack a bitch.
