Headed out to Beaver Dam and Columbus yesterday for PE filming. Met some awesome people, especially Maegan and Jon who we hung out with for close to twelve hours.
Being that it was most likely the last day of small town filming in Wisconsin, I decided it was time to do a meet and greet. It took until four in the morning, but the payoff was a hand shake and a hug from one Mr. Johnny Depp. The people we met made it seem like a much shorter time, and by the end of the night, conversation consisted almost solely of inside jokes with people I hadn't known 12 hours before. This whole experience has been amazing. I've met so many people through the movie and the blog, some of whom I hope will be life long friends.
It has also changed me into a hardcore JD fan. I have never seen an actor who so thoroughly loves their job and appreciates their fans. Watching him throughout this whole process, he has truly shown how amazing he is, both as an actor and a person.
On a much, much shallower note... He smells good, has soft skin, and I think his jacket is made of butter.
And now
Beaver Dam was standing in for Tuscon, AZ. Hence the cactus.
Maegan and Jon.
This picture, of Director Michael Mann, had become a major inside joke by the end of the night.
The 12kw "Sunray" spotlight that turned a gloomy Wisconsin day into Arizona.
Johnny (with newly added mustache) talking to Michael Mann on set.
Johnny talking to Jerry Judge, head of security and bodyguard extraordinaire
Looking very John Dillinger with his mustache.
On set in Columbus.
Rod on a stick. An inside joke on the blog, that may have gotten slightly out of hand.
Maegan and Shankenbsis doing Matt the Security Guard's job for him. Earning Maegan the nickname "Gate Girl".
Adam Boor, the location manager, breaks all laws of physics in his golf cart.
Julie, of Julie's Java Hut, who rocked our world with free hot cocoa and baked goods at 4AM.
The payoff of waiting for eight hours.
Johnny hugging Maegan. Unfortunately the picture of him hugging me did not turn out.
