The world is so good, so good.

DePaul University in Chicago is doing a play by my favorite playwright, Jose Rivera. I've been obsessed with Mr. Rivera ever since NIU did a breathtaking production of "Marisol." I own every play he's ever published. Sarah-Jean and I performed one of his short sketches as a dramatic duet piece for speech team. I search constantly for his shows in Illinois, and this is the first one I've (or rather my Mom has) found. AND IT'S FREE!!!

So the Sunday before Thanksgiving, Sarah-Jean, Zen, and I are going to take the train to Chicago and see "Cloud Tectonics" by my man, Jose Rivera. This is better than a fucking rockstar giving a free concert in my bathroom. It's Jose Rivera! Soooo excited!

And, and, and!!!

JOSH JOPLIN IS COMING TO CHICAGO AGAIN! Granted, it's all the way in March, and it's an over-21 show, but still! I thought I'd missed his last tour. I called the venue, posing as my mother, and asked if I could bring my "daughter" to a 7pm show. They said sure. My father, one of three people on the planet besides myself who is not annoyed by Josh's music, has graciously  agreed to be my "adult" escort.

So excited I could pee.
