[And he's there before very long, his Exorcist coat loose, with a white shirt and pants ensemble beneath said coat - he goes nowhere without the rose cross that is emblazoned on the side of it, and he glances around.]
[Okita had been at the other side of the dojo; he looked up when he heard footsteps at the beginning, and smiled. The other man was a familiar type; long hair in a samurai ponytail, Japanese face and coloring. His clothing was a strange Western style, though, with an insignia Okita didn't recognize emblazoned on the fabric. Regardless, he smiled in welcome, bare feet silent as he approached.]

[Kanda blinks as he catches sight of Okita. At first glance, he would have mistaken Okita for a woman, with androgynous features and the like, but experience re: himself had taught him not to work off first impressions.
He doesn't return the smile, but he's relaxed, even as he nods, slipping easily back into his native tongue.]
Yes, I am! It's a pleasure to meet you. Do you prefer bokken or shinai? This place seems to be very well stocked~ the previous kendo teacher was quite thorough....

I'm fine with either. [He's casual, not as standoffish, because this was a fellow samurai, and even Kanda knew that pissing off a potential sparring partner meant less chances for him to test things out on a person who may just be as deadly as a sword as he is.
He leaves Mugen sheathed at his hip, even as he regards the dojo.]

[He catches it with a fluid ease. The wood is lighter, even as Kanda adjusts to its weight. The wood seems almost breakable, somehow, but he supposes that it's just as well, since there was no pressing need to utilize a real weapon at this point in time.
A simple nod was spared at the other's words, and he continues.]
[Okita considered the question, tapping a finger thoughtfully against his chin. The kendo room he was using should be empty at this time of day, and they'd be less constrained by other people...]
Follow me.
[Shinai in one hand, he turned to walk to the kendo room.]

Is this place any good?

[Okita took two of the bamboo swords down, tossing one easily to the other samurai.]
Well! I wouldn't like to brag, nor have I really tested the other teachers' skills yet~ but it seems like a good place so far.
