What ho weary travellers... ok so thats just us but nevermind!
Bex has got bags unders her eyes... and em has cramping calve muscles! but big smiles!
Tomorrow morning it will have been a whole week since we landed in the lovely country that is Australia (even with its excessive queues for customs and immigration!!) and its been a fabulous week!
We're currently uploading some photos onto our new photo album (though its taking ages so there will only be a few to start with) at
http://toseelife.myphotoalbum.com so you should go and check it out, because there are some wicked photos there..!
Em has resorted back to her 5 year old self whenever we go anywhere near the suburb of Woollomoloo just up from kings cross and where we;re staying in a few days... its rather an amusing sight watching her wander over the road saying it to herself and giggling...!!
Bex has turned into a jumping plonker when we walk near the green man box's on pelican crossings as they make a really funny sound to tell you to cross and as we were walking down the street the other day one went off and she nearly fell into the road she jumped so high!
so apart from taking the piss out of each other we've done lots of exciting things! Even became all cultured for a morning and went to the national gallery of NSW, some pretty awesome paintings there, and despite the hoards of school kids it was a really nice morning!
But most off all... the bestest bit so far was nicking bex's credit card and booking tickets to see the Sydney Swans playing the West Coast Eagles (Aussie Rules Footie) on Saturday Night... we also get a freee hat! (and beer and ride to the stadium). We can't wait, especially as it's a 2006 League Final re-match... woo-hoo!
Can you just all note also that we watched neighbours tonight and really want to tell you all what happened but can't as that would be against every ethics that we hold dear to our hearts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (But when Karl and Susan go to london... don't miss an episode!!)
We're thoroughly enjoying just being able to potter about the city, been back over th oxford street last night to see if it lives up to its expectations, though not nearly as exciting as it should be, wandering though the city yesterday morning to go to circular quay to get a bus was really pretty, saw the opera house up close and the views around it are stunning... (especailly and the sun was bouncing off the white sails)....
We went to the seaside!!! in march!!! and it was fabulous! we got a bus to Watsons Bay yesterday to sit and ponder life upon an aussie beach and we weren't let down. it was beautiful, and the short walk through the town to Camp Cove was really nice, with the blaring sun, and perfect golden sand, and blue sea it was one of the best days so far!! (But em's watch smells manky as she forgot to take it off when we went in the sea and it still hasn't dried out... stinky winky!)
only other things we've been doing is eating the best burgers in the world at global burgers (nothing like a chain store in case you were worried) and browsing the market stalls at paddy's :)
Hope everyone is going ok, and you're all looking after each other,
Lots of Love and Woolloomolooooooooooo........
Em and Bex
