Norsefire '08: Part the Third

Oct 02, 2007 01:02

This list, interestingly enough, was originally posted about two years ago by Armando, then stolen and posted by Alicyn, then stolen and posted by Justin, and then stolen and posted by me. As the 2008 election draws ever closer, the time is right to unleash it once again upon the world (x-posted to
theendoffaith):

"No, I don't think that atheists should be considered as citizens, nor should they be considered as patriots. This is one nation under god." - George H.W. Bush

"I want you to let a wave of hatred wash over you. Yes, hate is good...if a christian voted for clinton, he sinned against god. It's that simple. Our goal is a christian nation. We have a biblical duty. We are called by god to conquer this country. We don't want equal time. We don't want pluralism. We want theocracy. Theocracy means god rules. I've got a hot flash: god rules." - Randall Terry, former leader of Operation Rescue.

"When I or people like me are running the country, you'd better flee, because we will find you, we will try you, and we will execute you. I mean every word of it." - Randall Terry once again.

"There's more than one way to skin a cat, and there's more than one way to take a black robe off the bench." - Tony Perkins, president of the Family Research Council.

"I don't believe there is a separation of church and state." - Tom DeLay, House Majority Leader.

"God has called us to be his representatives in our nation and in our world. Select candidates who represent your views and work for their election." - James C. Dobson, founder of Focus On The Family.

"The media is ruled by satan. But yet I wonder if many christians fully understand that. Also, will they believe what the media says, considering that its aim is to steal, kill, and destroy? - Reverend Jimmy Swagart.

"Raising your children under Americanism or any other principles other than true christianity is child abuse." Robert T. Lee, founder of The Society For The Practical Establishment And Perpetuation Of The 10 Commandments.

"We should invade their countries, kill their leaders and convert them to christianity." - Ann Coulter, columnist.

"Democracy originated in the mind of a rational being who has the deepest hatred for god." - Robert T. Lee once again.

"Worship with your vote." - Campaign bumper sticker of former Alabama Judge Roy Moore.

"God has chosen, through his son, jesus christ, this time, this place for all christians - protestants, catholics, and orthodox - to save our country and save our courts." - Bill Pryor, Alabama state attorney general.

"For the first time ever, everything is in place for the battle of armageddon and the 2nd coming of christ." - Ronald Reagan, 40th president of the US.

"The 'wall of separation of church and state' is a metaphor which has proved useless as a judge to guiding. It should be frankly and explicitly abondoned." William Rehnquist, Chief Justice of the US Supreme Court.

"The constitution of the United States, for instance, is a marvelous document for self-government by the christian people. But the minute you turn the document into the hands of non-christian people and atheistic people, they can use it to destroy the very foundation of our society." - Pat Robertson, televangelist.

"We are now in the process of putting born-again christians on every school board in America. You can literally own that system and control all personnel, cirriculum, materials, textbooks, and policies." - Robert L. Simonds, Citizens For Excellence In Education.

"I'll tell you what is wrong with America: We don't have enough of god's ministers running the country." - Reverend Tim LaHaye, co-author of the 'Left Behind' books.

"We are talking about christenizing America. We are talking about the gospel in a political context." - Paul Weyrich, Free Congress Foundation.

"Our culture is superior because our religion is christianity, and that is the truth that makes men free." - Pat Buchanan, columnist.

"The idea that religion and politics don't mix was invented by the devil to keep christians from running their own country." - Reveren Jerry Falwell.

"When the christian majority takes over this country, there will be no satanic churches, no more free distribution of pornography, and no more talk of rights for homosexuals." - Gary Potter, Catholics For Christian Political Action.

"Politicians who do not use the bible to guide their public and private lives do not belong in office." - Beverly LaHaye, Concerned Women For America.

"We don't have to protect the environment, the 2nd coming is at hand." - James Watt, former Secretary Of The Interior.

"Your tax dollars are being used to pay for grade school classes that teach our children that cannabalism, wife-swapping, and murder of infants and the elderly are acceptable behavior." - Jesse Helms, former US senator.

"I would like to outlaw contraception...contraception is disgusting, people using each other for pleasure." - Joseph Scheidler, Pro-Life Action League.

"God told me to strike at Al Qaeda, and I struck them, and then he instructed me to strike at Saddam, which I did. And now I am determined to solve the problem in the Middle East. If you help me, I will act, and if not, the elections will come, and I will have to focus on them." - President George W. Bush.

"George Bush was not elected by a majority of the voters in the United States, he was appointed by god." - Lt. Gen. William G. Boykin.

In light of this whole list, especially the last two quotes: Any candidate who adopts a stance of anything less than total opposition to Bush and everything he stands for cannot be trusted, for already Bush has proven his ability to worm his insidious agenda into the minds of other politicians, including Democrats. If the Bush Doctrine is not destroyed utterly next year, then the winner of the 2008 election will be... George W. Bush.
