action with Rider

Nov 27, 2011 22:05

When Waver woke up, he was lying in bed as usual; he felt warm and secure and relaxed, and he was awfully tempted to just roll over and go back to sleep.  If it weren't for Rider's heavy arm draped over his middle, he might have done just that.  Instead he sighed, wriggled a little further under the covers, and--

Wait.

Since when did Rider start ( Read more... )

+rider, you know what they say about greeks, error: virginity not found, what the shit, danger danger will robinson, +ddd, don't panic, waver's skinny naked ass, +waver, warning: may contain nuts

Rider's awakening was not as frantic. In fact, it was much calmer, with him cracking one eye open and noticing that the person he'd gone to bed with was not there.

"...Kid, where'd you go?" A yawn. That was the only important question.

"I'm in--"

His voice cracked; he cleared his throat and started again, trying to keep it from shaking.

"I'm in here."

"Well, come back. It's too early to get up."

Deep breaths, Waver, deep breaths. He really needed to not do something silly, like hyperventilate, because if he fainted then Rider would probably break down the door instead of doing something sensible like going into his spirit form for a moment to get through it and then there would be a mess and he'd have to explain the whole situation to the McKenzies and it would be so awkward and--

Shit. Deep breaths. Deep breaths.

"I-I'll be out in a few minutes. Just go back to sleep, Rider."

"But I'm awake now that you decided to leave." A heavy sigh. "I can tell you're panicking over something silly."

"I-it's not silly!"

Gdit Rider he did not need for you to start making fun of him this early in the morning when he was already panicky.

"Yes it is."

He didn't even know what it was. It was just silly.

It might have something to do with the fact that he had just been coming to terms with the idea that kissing Rider wasn't a bad idea, and then they had just jumped right into sex because of a virus and that was a little fast for him. A lot fast for him.

"Just... just shut up and go back to sleep and stop bothering me! Stop... making fun of me..."

Rider you are the worst pseudo-husband thing ever.

Sigh. "I'll stop making fun of you if you stop panicking over nothing."

"Shut up..."

He just needed to sit down for a few minutes and maybe put his head on his knees and figure out why his life was such a mess. He wasn't even entirely sure that having a relationship more than just friendship with Rider wasn't a bad plan and now because of a stupid virus he was just... thrust into one anyway.

Wait. He shouldn't think about thrusting. Poor choice of words. Very poor choice of words.

Silence from Rider's end.

He was sort of vaguely aware that Waver was panicking over the marriage thing - what else would have bothered him this much right now? But Rider didn't mind. He'd been interested in Waver before, he had a relationship where that interest was realized, did it matter that it was caused by a virus?

All of this had kind of been dropped on Waver's head like a ton of bricks, and he needed to sit here and think about it and sort things out, because everything would make more sense once he had gotten it all organized in his head.

So he was going to figure things out, right now. He sort of had to; he couldn't keep putting it off and ignoring the issue. If nothing else, the virus had made it impossible for him to keep avoiding an issue that he wasn't comfortable with.

...Or he was going to get really cold. He was naked except for a shirt and the bathroom wasn't very well heated.

There was the shuffling of blankets and Rider getting up out of bed. He at least had the decency to pull some shorts on. This was going to be too long a conversation to have completely naked.

"Kid."

Put what they were wearing together and you would have one decently clothed person.

Waver pulled his knees to his chest and tugged the shirt down over them and pulled his arms into the sleeves, making a little cocoon of Rider's shirt around himself.

"...yes?"

"Come back into the bedroom and we'll talk. I'm not talking to a wall like this."

It almost surprised him that Rider was being so reasonable, and compared to how he was acting, Waver felt a little... well, silly. He ought to talk with Rider instead of hiding here in the bathroom.

There was a small click as the lock disengaged, and a moment later he opened the door.
