Why: After Mars being away for a few months, Mr. Sulu finally confesses his love... for piloting.
Mars felt like a proverbial chicken with its head cut off. She shoved all her boxes in her room, found Chrissy and spent a good couple hours with her, and was on her way to try and find Liz, whom Mars had found out from Christine is now married, when she got a message on her PADD from Mr. Sulu.
Welcome back to the ship! I've got some specs on the new equipment, so we should meet up soon to check out everything and catch up on what's been going on. You've been gone quite a while!
With a frown, she desired to find her friend, but realized she hadn't piloted a star ship in a while and after hearing about this ship being attacked and needing an emergency refit, she figured in this case duty called. Besides, she was already scheduled for a shift the following night.
The lift to the bridge opened, and Mars stepped in for the first time in a long time. Not too many things looked like it had changed, but there were a few new faces. "Good evening, Mr. Sulu!" She called out cheerfully.
