Last night was horrible. I'm stressed... overwhelmed... wondering if this is all really and truly worth it? And then this morning, I logged onto the Weight Watchers board and saw a new post from Joann. She was 28 weeks pregnant when she developed severe pre-eclampsia and HELLPS. She told us her story in detail... about being forced to deliver her extremely premature little boy or she could die. I can't even imagine what she was feeling in that moment, to know that it was either her or potentially her son. Little Theo was born February 24 at 12 weeks early, and so far he's a trooper just like his mama.
And just when you think your life is horrible... it sucks... couldn't get any worse, you look around you and you see people going through things a million times harder than what you are. It puts your life completely in perspective and you realize that things really aren't that bad. We all have hard times, but we are certainly not alone.
If you have any spare thoughts or prayers, please keep mommy, daddy, and baby Theo in your prayers. They've got a long couple months ahead of them, but I know they will come through it with grace.
