Well, I have had a fabulous week! Monday and Tuesday were rather uneventful. Class and homework as usual.
Wednesday morning, I was sitting in my living room just about ready to leave for class, when I heard my front door open. I listened, thinking maybe it was just the mail... sometimes they come that early to deliver packages. Well, I heard a key in the door and I froze. I was seriously scanning the area for something hard or sharp I could defend myself with. The door opened and I watched the hallway, ready to throw my computer at my would be attacker if necessary. The dog came running back with her tail wagging, following by Matt. I was like, WTH? I was supposed to pick him up Thursday morning from the airport, yet there he stood grinning like a kid in a candy store. He dropped 2 pieces of paper in my lap and when I looked at them they were tickets to see Jeff Dunham at the Breslin Center that night. Happy Valentine's Day! He was so proud of himself. It's not often he can pull one over on me, but he did, and everyone knew but me haha The show was awesome and I had such a good time. Pictures on facebook and flickr. Thank you, baby! You really are the greatest and I'm so lucky to have you.
Thursday was business as usual: class. We went to dinner with Nick and Amanda as they were celebrating their Valentine's Day that night. Amanda is quite possibly the cutest girl I've ever met. She is such a sweetheart and is really good for Nick. I felt kind of bad though because she is so sweet and innocent and Matt is so... well... not haha She embarrasses pretty easily. I hope she doesn't think we're freaks of nature. I really like her.
Friday morning, Megan and I went to talk to a florist. Her name is Mary and she's the cutest little lady who works out of her home. We were there for almost two hours pouring over the 300 different types of roses and the colors they come in and planning every little detail of wedding flowers. Mary definitely knows her stuff and I'm in capable hands. Her price quote was quite a bit higher than I was wanting to spend, but FMIL said not to worry about it and she'd take care of it! So, I think I'm just going to go with her. I liked her ideas and enthusiasm. Although, after about 45 minutes my eyes were starting to glaze over with all the options LOL
Friday night we went to Kalamazoo. Matt was going to hang out with his "friends" at the strip club, and instead of sitting at home alone I decided to hang out with my brother Tom and his girlfriend, my BFF Abby. Before that though we had dinner with FMIL, Sheelagh, and I'm guessing one of FMIL's coworkers. There was much wedding talk haha but it was nice to chat. We went out to a bar and had a couple beers and it was a lot of fun. No drama, nor worries, just good people and good times. I also discovered that Budweiser isn't that bad! Bud Light, puke... but Bud, yum! I'm really glad I went and I'm happy I have such amazing friends.
Yesterday was Valentine's Day. Matt, Steven, and I went to Men's Wearhouse and picked out tuxes. I felt really bad for the sales lady... we kept changing our minds over and over and she kept changing the clothes on the mannquin over and over. I'm sure she was really annoyed by the time we were done lol We settled on peridot vest and tie with a white pleated shirt and black 2 button notch lapel jacket for the guys. Matt will have a white tie and green vest however. They look really snazzy. Check another thing off the list! Matt and I spent most of the day at home enjoying each other's company. I can't wait til I can be with him every day... no more of this commuting crap. I get so used to having him here, and then he's gone again and my heart aches.
Reagan has started getting in to the bathtub on her own accord now... totally random. Yesterday I told her to go get in the tub and she did it, no questions asked LOL So everytime we went upstairs we'd tell her to get in the tub and she would. I was like, what have you done with my dog?! I may try and give her a bath myself tonight. She really needs one... it's been wet and muddy outside. Of course, we have like 5 inches of snow on the ground again. Only in Michigan could it be 60 degrees and then 2 days later there's snow on the ground. Aye aye aye.
I'm also pissed because I have to send my iPod in for repair. I was updating the software on it and my internet connection went out and somehow that corrupted the hardware. But it's under warranty so it's free... I'm just going to have to suffer without it for 2 weeks. It makes my drive to South Haven so much more pleasant. I hope I have it back by the 27th when we go to North Dakota. Oh well, c'est la vie
