I'm posting now so in case Matt gets bored at work in the morning he has something to read ;) Love ya babe

It has been an exhausting week/weekend more or less. I've been in South Haven since Tuesday and have been going pretty much non-stop. Wednesday I went and saw Twilight again with my Aunt and then we saw Bolt later that day. Bolt was adorable and probably is my new favorite Disney Pixar movie.

Thursday was Thanksgiving and surprisingly, it went off without a fight... the first holiday in a long time I can think of that didn't have some kind of a huge blowout. Maybe there is hope? Eh, I won't hold my breath. I spent most of the day at my mom's playing video games on the Wii and hanging out with the all the family.

Friday we got up and went to Wal-Mart to laugh at all the Black Friday people. I played WoW and worked on my novel. We also played Summer Sports on the Wii. We got it at Wal-mart because it looked fun. The horse shoes was fun.

Saturday I got up early and helped my Aunt get the last of her crap out of her old place. While we were cleaning out the shed we had the chance to really reminisce. There was so much stuff in there from my great-grandparents and my childhood.  We told memories of toys that were pulled out, like my old barbie dollhouses and my Carmen Sandiego game.  We found an old fashioned camera that was made in 1898. And we found Christmas presents that my great-grandparents had bought for my grandma's first baby before she died. They were still wrapped and sitting there. It was so sad. We boxed them up and brought them home in case grandma wanted them. I don't really know the story of what happened to her babies... she had 3 before my aunt, uncle, and mom and they all died. I never ask either, it's not something we talk about.

After that I came back and played WoW... pretty much I played WoW all day... except for the 2 hours we went to see Bolt again with my niece and my cousin's son (what does that make him? lol). I know I played WoW too much because I had a dream about mining and making money, woa... yeah I'm a loser.

Today I was supposed to go back to Lansing but it's been snowing like mad... and it's the wet slushy stuff that doesn't really stick to the roads, but makes them sleepy. So, I finished my novel! Well, I didn't finish, but I hit my 50k wordcount! I'm very happy, even though there was some serious word padding to get there. I'm by no means finished with the story. I probably have another 50k to write, and then I have to go back and fix inconsistancies and fill in plot holes and make it not so... juvenile. I hope to get it to a point where I'm comfortable letting others read it before spring semester starts.

I'm missing Matt like crazy. It's probably going to be another 2 weeks before I see him again and I'm going out of my mind. This distance thing should be getting easier the longer we do it, but it's only getting harder. These will be the first holidays we've spent apart in 7 1/2 years. It makes me sad. I miss going to bed with him every night and waking up to his kisses. He truly is the best thing that has ever happened to me.

So this Thanksgiving, and yeah it's a little late, I am thankful for my friends who have supported me through thick and thin and always know how to cheer me up. I am thankful for my family who would do anything to see me happy and successful in life. I am thankful for my fiance who has kept me going through the years, never doubted me, and loved me unconditionally. I'm thankful for my pup who has given me so much joy, and I am thankful to have a job and be going to school so that we can have a good future.

I hope everyone had a good holiday!
