Are OCs okay?

Sure! Just make sure that at least some of the main characters from Teen Wolf are in there somewhere-- but yes, OCs are perfectly fine!

Two questions: I don't think I have the patience to do the superbang, but is it alright to have some of the drabbles connect to each other? For example, Drabble 2 is a continuation of Drabble 1, but Drabble 3 may not have anything to do with the previous ones.
One of the questions on sign up is the pairing I plan to write, but if I do drabbles does that mean I can do more than 1 pairing?

The drabbles as part of the Minibang can work as standalone stories or they can be part of a 'verse. You are free to mix and match, have some be 'verses and some be total standalones, that's perfectly okay. :)

Most stories have a main pairing, but we've gotten a number of submissions that have multiple pairings or even pairings that aren't a major focus, so that's not by any means a sticking point. There's no limit on the number of pairings you can put in your fic.

This is going to be redundant, but I want to make sure, for the mini bang:
I know it says a minimum of five stories with each being 2K, but can their be more than five stories?

Clarification is never a problem. :)

Yes, there can be as many stories as you want; the minimum is five. Beyond that, write as many as you like!

You're very welcome. I'm practically living in the LJ inbox right now, so I saw it pretty much when you posted it, lol.

Hi there, I'm trying to sign up as a writer and when I click on the link to sign up it says access is denied. Any tips?

Hi! I looked through the members and it looks like you are in fact a member of the community, so you shouldn't have any trouble looking at the sign-up post, even though it's protected.

Please try and open the post again and let me know if you have the same problem. If you do, then I'll talk to Zoey and see if we can figure out what the problem is. I'm very sorry! D:

Okay, I have a question. Why can't authors sign up for the minibang just to write a 10k plus fic? One that stands alone and is not a part of a ficlet series?

The only other time I've seen big bangs employ a big bang and mini bang portion is when they are allowing this, and I really love it. I know the deancasbigbang does it, whether an author can sign up for the big bang or mini bang, and upgrade/downgrade between the two if needed.

I think it would be really great if here the 5 ficlet minimum could be dropped, and authors could just be allowed to write a shorter 10k story for the minibang if they want.

That's actually a very good point, and it's one that neither of us considered, I think, because when we talked about it we picked the ficlet thing as something that would be a different experience in a writing challenge, if that makes sense? Instead of just the regular write a long one or a longer one, it was something simple that like.

However, we are taking that into consideration for next years (which hopefully we'll all work out so the schedules are different). Thank you so much!

Fair enough, I do wish you could do it for this round. I admit if it was that way I would be tempted to sign up as an author. I've never actually written for a big bang (but have done art for plenty) and 10k seems a lot less intimidating then 20k (but I am not really interested in writing 5 ficlets lol ( ... )

There's no requirement per ficlet for the Minibang; the way that we envisioned the submissions and claims is that Big Bangs and Minibangs would be treated as whole units, regardless of size. So even if a Minibang had 15 ficlets in it, we would still only require at least the minimum specifications we set that differ by medium.

As far as what fic gets what art, I feel like that would be best left up to the writer and artist, y'know? Whatever works for one pair may not work for another; we're trying very hard not to overimpose too many limits on participants so that the whole creative process can go as smoothly and unhindered as possible.

Basically, if we don't require one piece of art per chapter of a Big Bang, we wouldn't require one piece of art per ficlet of a Minibang, either. Does that make sense?
