Canon Updates
So you were looking to maybe update your character's canon, huh? Well look no further, we got some rules for you to look over while you take this decision into some serious consideration. If you're not familiar with what Canon Update means, in simpler terms - if you applied as Penelo from Final Fantasy XII and months later have finally finished Revenant Wings and wish to update her in means of age, her history/canon, character relationships, this is where Canon Update applies.
*Mod approval. It's only common sense that one would need to seek out permission before going through with this change. This change involves removing your character from the game, returning them to their home, only to have them brought back. Two weeks real time. That works out to roughly 1 month of in-game time. That is how long your character will be MIA.
*Once in a life time offer. You may only apply a Canon Update once for every character that you play. So if you play three that in the end would go through the process, once for each of them.
*Application process. You've been given the green light! Now it's time to write out an entirely new application. That's right, more writing. But we know how much you love it! Just fill it out with all the necessary information, including their updated canon and submit. Please take note that your samples must be fresh! They must also reflect on the change in your character. On one last note, we ask that beneath your samples there be a section giving us details on what is new, what's been edited to fit in your Canon Updated character.
*Application approved. You've been approved! That's great news! We're excited to have you back in the game and with an updated canon. Now the small downside to that (because there always has to be a balance) - you must sit out no less than two weeks. And in that time, you must still answer to any activity checks. If one month has passed from your approval date and you have not re-entered the game, you will automatically be dropped without waiting for an AC.
While you are 'sitting out', this means you cannot make any new posts or respond to any new posts made by fellow players. You are free to continue tagging any unfinished RP you may have. Once the two weeks have gone by, we will drop you a notice informing you that you can re-join with your updated character.
*Concerning your updated character. What is acceptable: aging. What is unacceptable: no major modifications to the character's personality or life. For example: Larsa ends up with a Canon Update; upon returning he is asked what Ashe has been up to. Vague answers, nothing too drastic in the sense that you're making up an alternate universe. Go by what is in the actual game, not by what you think happened. In this case, the response would be along the lines that Ashe has spent some time in Rozzaria, nothing more, nothing less.
