Lion King opened tonight!
Great show, new and very labor intensive Settlement procedures...with 6 weeks....I think we will get it together easier and faster very soon!
Got some great programs and reports from my Live Nation Rep that are designed to make settlement for Lion King go faster.....I have already started thinking about how to modify them to make them useable on all my shows....tonight was extremely slow as it was the first settlement....but I could see how these new programs and report generation methods will really stream line and speed up the process....so regardless...it has been a good time....
I got to see the sound check and most of Act I's Dress Rehearsal today, trailing the Company Manager as he assessed possible sight line issue seats...... God I miss performing in Staged Theatre!

Even the children in the show are wonderful.
Did I mention the singing is incredible.....
Only one person stuck out as weak to me and that was the lower register of Rafiki....but the CM says that she doesn't push in rehearsals as it is her weak register...says she belts better than anyone when there is an audience.
He even offered me a comp to go see an actual show....since he made me work through the Dress Rehearsal.....I may just take him up on the offer! But not this week....I am supposed to be off until Sunday evening's weekly final settlement but with the new proceedures...I am going to have to be available to the other settlers until they feel comfortable......
Sorry , this may mean no "Got Candy Bash" for me Saturday.... we will see...maybe a quick drive by for a shot of Tequilla and a few hugs.
