What a load
Soooooo, I get home from working the MUSE concert at about 11:15pm. Fire up the DVR to watch the finals of Rockstar Supernova.
1) Magni got 4th! WHAT?!?!?!?! The guy sings rings around TOBY who got 3rd! Magni happens to be a great musician and a team player. Evident by all the times he has played or sang back up for other competitors. Their excuse was he seemed happier playing with the house band than Fronting Supernova...Geez, the guy comes all the way from ICELAND for Christ’s sake to audition and leaves his wife and toddler!!!!! and they say he would rather be in the house band?!?!??! Who are they kidding...I think Gilby Clark maybe just a touch worried that if Magni got in the band he would soon find his own guitar playing taking a back seat to a better player and oh yeah a much better singer.
2) Toby got 3rd... see number 1
This leaves Dilana and Lukas. Dave N said it best..."looks like a goth wedding"....
All summer....Jason kept harping on Lukas to open up his throat, expand himself.
Dilana is and has been by far the best singer in the show....all the guys from Super Nova love her and kept repeating it....never a complaint about her singing....now she did have an off moment with the reporters where she slammed Lukas, but what rock star hasn't let their EGO get the best of them...hey Tommy Lee?!?!?!?!? Metallica guy Jason?!?!?!?!? Okay so Dilana is a weak songwriter. Oops sorry boys, all summer long when you cut other singers your main reason given was you just couldn't see them Fronting you.... but now you are choosing the better writer over the better singer, the better performer? But here's the 1st thing that really stuck in my throat to the point of making me gag...at the beginning of the show there were 4 singers the hostess call the 3 with the viewer's lowest votes to stand up and Dilana was not one of them...but at the end, as a reason, Tommy Lee got the crowd to yell for their favorite and then said they had to listen to their fans and last nights highest vote getter was their MAN. Lukas...so what show were you watching T?!?!?!? Obviously not the same one I was watching!
And then to add insult to injury. Dave tells Dilana he wants her to come sing with him as he goes on this world tour with Supernova as part of their opening act....Well Dave, we already know that many of the rejected singers are going to be going on as part of that, so why ask her now? Then he says when she is ready to cut an album to let him know and he would "so be there" then Gilby chimes in that he would like to write and even producer for her as well as play and then the other two pipe in their desire to play....so if they all want to play with her, WHY NOT HIRE HER TO FRONT YOUR BAND? You morons!
So here is what I want to know...did your wives voice their opinions about if you hire the girl there will be trouble at home? or are you just worried that a powerhouse likes the tiny Diva will still the thunder from you mega egomaniacs?
I won’t be going to your concerts, I don’t think I could stand two hours of Lukas' voice. But Dilana, honey, if you ever go out with out the Supernova that should in my books now be downgraded to a Dwarf Planet, I am so there!
