Another "old moment day"

Had my annual (or little over due) eye exam this morning.
Eyes are weaker...left eye more so....expected both with the job change my eyes stay tired all the time....
I am getting bi-focals! ARRRRRRRGGGGGGGG!

now stop laughing!

seriously!

doc tells me with the new job it was to expected...all that up close work...hours on end staring at the computer. Then he explains that with the diabetes he is impressed it didn't happen sooner....then he says it usually hits mid thirties to the early 40s. SO I say well thank god I'm 45 and at least I put if off that long.....HE WAS Visably shocked!!!!! tee hee

He is not my regular eye doctor...my reg doc is on vacation and this is his new partner...30ish, dark skin, dark hair, dark eyes (very Italian looking) no wedding rings...talked about internet surfing for singles earlier in the conversation....when I mentioned I spend all day on the computer at work and then 2 or more hours at home playing on line...he said he only gets on line to "Play" long enough to laugh at the singles advertising....But when I mentioned being 45 he chilled out considerably....even called me MA'AM !

Someone please take that knife out of my back!

Got a good giggle though when I made him blush....I was getting ready to leave and alway chit chat with the lady at the desk....I've known her for years...she asked my oppinion of the new doctor.....as I always give my inpressions of the doctors in training that Ducklo uses during the school year...I mentioned that he got the eye drops in on the 1st go - ususally the student tries,,,then the tech gives it a go, then Dr D would have to do it....(this is the reason I dont wear contacts - too sensitive)Well it was in my chart, so the new doc asked if he could give it a go....and bang, in on the first drop! So I'm telling the receptionist he got it right on the first try and she said "I told you he was good!" He is walking by and slows down at this point...sure my eyes are dilated and I have no sharp focus but I still can see so I know he is there...so knowing he was there I responded with " Smart, Talented, and Cute, I could get used to that." I didn't see his initial reaction but the receptionist did and she gave a hoot and he scurried off...she stood and yelled down the hall at him..."oh Dr Nash, like you've never had a patient go gagga over you!" I say, "Calm down doc, I saw you there. Shoot, I'm harmless." He is blushing dark red almost purple. sputtering and smiling...the whitest damn teeth I have ever seen! the receptionist laughingly said, "Yeah she won't bite!. What a lead in....I wait hold out my hand for a hand shake, "Good to meet you, maybe when Ducklo is on vacation again you'll get to look into my eyes close up again." I think that is when he got it....He takes my hand and I go to do the Southern shake and hug. He murrers good to meet you too.... I start tp put on my dark glasses in prep for the sunlight induced headache that I knew would be in my future. I get to the door and turn arouund..."Hey Doc" he looks back...."I really don't bite...unless I'm asked!" I slide the glasses on. Give a wave at the receptionist who was giving it a good belly laugh! It took everything in my power not to turn to see his reaction....I walk outside all smiles and bam INSTANT PAIN Damn you new doctor for not being certified to do the other test that doesn't require dilating the eyes...damn you....you are cute but DAMN YOU!
