Christmas Loot and New Years' Wishes
Happy New Year! I hope the new year brings much joy and prosperity to each of you and your families. Please be careful tonight if you're going to be out and about since it's Amateur Night.
I hope everyone's Christmas was as awesome as mine. Lin went completely overboard for our first Christmas together. My stocking from him is freakin' 3-feet long. No joke. And it was stuffed with all sorts of fangirl goodies.
My Stocking
Yeah, it's an Elvis stocking. No laughing at The King.
The most awesome gift was my sketchbook. He said that every fangirl needs a sketchbook to take to cons for artists to doodle in, so he and some of his comic artist buddies got my sketchbook started. He even contacted his buddy Dean Zachary, who is now officially an artist for my favorite Star Wars comic series (Knights of the Old Republic), and asked Dean to draw a sketch of my favorite male character, Zayne. Dean came through with the most awesome Zayne sketch for me. I'll get to meet Dean next weekend, so I need to start working on getting a Jarael sketch from him. We don't want Zayne to be lonely. :P

I told Lin that my sketchbook needs some Harry Potter sketches, so I'm supposed to be giving him some photo references that I like. He's got a deadline right now, so it will be a few weeks before he has time again for drawing for fun.
