(no subject)
i never feel like i have anything to say, so i never post. i figure it's about time that i post again. what's happened in the last few months/what's going to happen in the next month or so...
- i have no idea what i want to do in university anymore. i seem to be leaning towards the insanity of wanting to do two degrees: a major in biochem/biomed and a major in music performance.
- i still hate my dad for being a jerk
- i've actually started to like bio
- i remembered the feeling i get when i hear amazing music - the goosebumps, the shiver, and that numbing feeling
- i went to a party at laura's that i actually enjoyed. a couple major things happened: one is annoying but i'm so thankful towards the person for, the other was very surprising, especially how much more i enjoyed it than i thought i would.
- i did my audition at u of ottawa. the weird one where i played one piece, one third of another, but did no sightreading, played no scales nor studies.
- i did my queen's audition. played both pieces and did some sightreading but no scales or studies. wrote an ear training test and a rudiments test, both which were kind of insulting to my intelligence. met the coolest proffessor ever ( who just happens to be josh bullen's uncle), met a first year clarinet student, originally from bellevile, who i was unusually easy to talk to - definitely wouldn't mind seeing her again sometime.
- i've decided queen's is where i want to go next year. goiong to do everything i can to get there.
- i finally realized that my dad is never going to change at all and will continue to be a jerk forever. still hate him.
- i went on the germany/austria trip and had the greatest time ever. heard some interesting stories about sean's stupidity as a child and discovered the awesomeness of h&m, amongst other memorable things.
- i was chosen to be part of the pit band in josh and gabe's musical, "a pirate's life". rehearsals ahve been held at random but i think it's finally coming together, almost ready for youth infringement in may.
- i'm ready for the week of hell from kiwanis: grade 10 piano list a (baroque) and b (clasical) classes on monday, grade 10 piano list c (romantic) - followed by a rush from the church on kilborn (alta vista area) to woodroffe high school for wind ensemble - on wednesday, and grade 10 piano list d/e (contemporary/modern) on friday. need new music to make sure i don't overstress and burnout (this is a subtle reminder for you, josh)
