Ok, my friend is a QVC junkie and knows every ingredient in every beauty/skincare product and exactly what it does. Obsessive? Well yeah, but she researches and she tries new things and lets me know what works and what doesn't.
The latest purchase is WEN. It's a "conditioner cleanser" for your hair. Now, I've never been able to use the combo shampoo/conditioners because I've got fine, greasy hair. My hair is like horse hair compared to my friend's. She has "bad hair" and would be the first one to tell you.
She bought this stuff and is raving about it. She actually watched the QVC tv show and saw which one is targeted to what hair type, but check the link. The reviews will help guide you toward which one you might like. She actually recommended the Almond Mint for me. She chose the Cucumber Aloe for her baby fine (and I mean that literally) hair. Then they've got the Almond Tea Tree Oil and the Fig. Those seem to be for dry, itchy scalp and thicker, more coarse hair types.
WEN Wanna try something? Lookie.
Also, while you're there, the
philosophy purity made simple cleanser is supposed to be the shit. Cuts makeup and gets the grime without extra toners and stuff, but it's not harsh and drying. I will personally attest to Hope In a Jar face cream. The 8oz is frikkin' expensive, but the small one will go a long way. I like Philosophy. Don't buy it often because I'm CHEAP, but these would all make nice gifts for yourself or someone else.
Of course, some might take it wrong and think you're implying they're fugly and need it, but it's just good stuff!
Juice - I'd rec any of these products. FANTASTIC. I was gifted the Green Apple Moisturizer and Antioxident Serum. Excellent.
Caudalie - Not personally used, but it's supposed to be the bomb. The Vinoperfect Radiance Serum in particular.
MD Skincare - I've used this eye creme. The Vitamins C and K are supposed to be important. It's supposed to be excellent for "crepe-y" under eye skin, but I don't really have that problem. Yet...
Korres - I owned the Wild Rose Serum and the Olive Oil and Rye Moisturizer. Meh. The Serum isn't concentrated enough and the moisturizer broke me out. They smell nice.
Bliss - They've branched into "age control". Here's that stuff. Friend tried An Ounce of Prevention and loved it. That first choice seems interesting, too. Nice price, huh?
StriVectin - Made of money? Buy this. It's supposed to live up to the hype.
Now I've killed time. I have to do some actual work. Damn.
