...to BtVS and how Joss, the writers, directors, producers, the fucking actors, even, apparently do not actually watch their own show.
That bloody Lost retrospective/recap/crazy-talk has me seated in front of my pc instead of the tv. Oh, Justin is DVRing the damn thing for me, but what is the damn deal with them all but pulling out a Jack blow up doll and simulating fellatio on national tv? BLAH. I disagreed with damn near every point they made. Claire/Charlie? Hell! That story seems to have been rendered comatose since mid-last season! But now it's all about a family?
Oh! OH!!! And Kate(Buffy) really knows that Jack(Angel) is the better choice(???), but chooses Sawyer because of some past and continuing urge to play hump the bad guy? And she bounces between the two based on what's best for her in the moment. Making her...what? A totally wishy-washy, mindless ho-bag. Gee, thanks guys! I'm sure Evie's just pleased as punch over that character assassination assessment. And bloody-damn Jack was in EVERYONE'S recap, coming over like the damn island messiah. Yeah, yeah, I could keep going... me having drama is...
In other, totally OT news, I decided this morning that showering was overrated. Also, it did not rain the rest of the day.
I finally bought groceries, so we can stop eating only peanut butter and cereal and perhaps avoid scurvy.
I made this Pad Thai thing for dinner that turned out totally AWESOME. I bought a cheap microwave thing on impulse and dressed it up with some water chestnuts, bamboo shoots, wasabi, the kitchen sink...and it was actually really good! I might get all ambitious next supply day and try to concoct it from scratch with real ingredients, and not totally processed ones. Sounds fun now, at this moment, so we'll have to just see what next week brings.
