Dear wonderful TNLA supporters,
Please remember, in your pimpage posts (which I know you're all making *wink wink*), to provide a link to the Voting Post, which provides our rules for how to vote. (It is the post directly below this one, if you're confused! And, if you'd just rather not scroll, it's
here, and I have sneakily linked you directly to the rules part!)
We will disregard all voting comments/emails that haven't followed the rules for voting, so please be methodical in your pimping, and in your own voting!! :-)
Some people say that they find the process for voting confusing, so I'm going to have one last-ditch attempt to explain.
1) You vote by posting a comment to the Official Voting post (the one below this one). This is similar to how most other Awards communities do voting, I think. We want everyone to post their votes as comments in the Official Voting post so that when it comes to cross-checking votes at the end (making sure that we as mods have done everything correctly and that the right people win!), we can easily find everyone's votes to check them. Right now, people who vote via email (which is fine, p.s.) and people who vote in comments to other posts here (not so fine, but not a heinous crime) will have their votes copied and pasted into a comment at the Official Voting post by me. :-)
2) You should vote for TWO stories in every category. It doesn't matter if there's three or eight stories in a category, you still have to vote for two. There are two good reasons we ask you to do this:
Reason A) It's much less agonising than making you choose only one! (Some people have found choosing only two agonising!)
Reason B) It's much less complicated (for you and for us) than having to choose three and rank them.
There is a sample of how a correct vote should look in the Official Voting post (again
here).
3) While we encourage people to vote in every category, you don't have to! We respect people's preferences and want everyone to vote on as many or as few categories as they feel like they can manage! :-)
You have until the 12th to vote! Thanks to all those who've voted so far; we look forward to receiving the rest!
Right now, we have quite a few categories that look like there will be tie-breakers to be done. In the event that on the 12th we do not have clear winners, we will hold tie-breaking votes here, which will run for 24 hours.
