Grandpa Meyer...
It's been a rough couple of weeks in the Levine household. Mom-Sue had
her second surgery for throat cancer last week And had an unexpected
difficulty and they had to remove a muscle from her neck. But shes
doing great. She still has a few staples and will be starting the prep
process next week for her radiation and chemo that will start in a few
weeks. 5 days a week for chemo and 1 day for chemo for 8-10 weeks (I
think thats how long they said). But she's doing great and her spirits
are high as always.
Grandpa had a stroke on Saturday and had blurred vision and lost his
motor skills. He started having breathing problems on Monday and was
put into ICU and on a breathing machine. He was asleep and had
difficulty breathing and passed peacefully at about 2am Tuesday,
January 31st. His funeral will be Thursday and we will be sitting
shiv'a after wards with the family. He had a good life and didnt have to
suffer much. I'm thankful for that. Last night we went to his favorite
Chinese Restaurant and had dinner in honor of him and had a few laughs
talking about what we'd always remember about him. Here is the link to
his Obit, written by Miss Sara Levine:
