Beginning of Arthur's Mythos - All of this is player knowledge only

Arthur Mythos:

I will warn now that these come from all over, and basically what I'm doing is building a better vampire. That said, I'm willing to work and tweak as this was a late night idea that I've come to enjoy and would love to play in some verses and plots.

- Arthur was turned in 1926. He didn't know the person that turned him, didn't ask for this and had little to no training to help him in the first hours. He was found though, helped and taught to act properly, as it were. He is still in touch with the man that helped him in those first years, but has never known his sire, nor does he have any desire to. The event was violent and painful and he hasn't forgotten it.

- In the years since he has been a private dectective, worked in a morgue, hidden himself away for years, and learned just when to leave the area before people become suspicious.

- Arthur can feed without killing. He can live on dead man's blood. He prefers living donors, and not to kill though he has been known to devour an entire person's blood stock and seek a means of disposing of the evidence.

- Arthur will NOT become a crispy critter in sunlight. That said, it does have a very adverse effect on him. Diluted light, such as on cloudy days, and early and late in the day, will leave him weak and a bit vulnerable. The longer he is in sunlight, or the stronger the light, and the more dangerous things become for him, including blistering and burning, weakened to the point of comatose, and eventually death.

- Garlic does nothing, get over it.

- His fangs are retractable and are used to puncture and access the blood but don't draw it in. He swallows the blood, his body processing it in similar ways to humans eating. It is in this way he is able to feign most of his more "human" traits, including the heat of his body, the artificial need to breathe.

- For this reason, Arthur can technically eat, though it will have a bad effect on him and sometimes it involves a bit of self surgery after the fact.

- Arthur works hard to maintain his facade, though he does have moments where he will slip. I am not adverse to others finding out, though it isn't something he would allow to become common knowledge, nor admit to even if confronted.

- He has not ever made his own child. While his life hasn't been horrid because of what he is, he did lose his human life and wouldn't do that to another. Not that he broods over it, just happy to keep living and doing the things he loves.
