Windy City summer.
Yep -- I'm gonna have a fabulous summer, the kind of summer that gets you through the cold months with a smile.
One of my plans is to fly to Chicago and spend some time there. Why? Wrong question. "Why not" is the correct one.
I have had a friend for quite a while -- something of an inspiration really. A PHd in Philosophy and a fellow trans-activist that is just amazing. He is the main reason. Just to get to know him better... be able to bat ideas around and be able to absorb some of his brilliance. And... who knows.
And then there is the enjoyment of being able to explore a new place. I know that I am going to the Art Institute there... and get to have a real Chicago hot-dog and deep-dish pizza, and go to the park and the shore and... What fun eh? I'm pretty sure I will enjoy it more then I did Philly or New York... just because... meh, maybe because I am in a better frame of mind now. I am "me" now... not trying to play a role that I thought was what I should be playing.
Anyways, it's off to buy the tickets and start planning a summer of myth and legend. :)
