*dances and twirls*
Wonderful news! Not that I entirely understand, but I do understand the important part of it and what it means. :)
Yesterday was my grandmother's chemo day, normally bad days for everyone concerned. My aunt drove both of my grandparents to the clinic and the three waited - and waited - and waited. It took far longer than usual for the pre-treatment blood work to come back. This caused some concern. After a time they were called back to the doctor's office. What they feared would be terrible news turned out to be quite the opposite.
The cancer count, which had been around 1400 at Thanksgiving, has decreased. After less than a dozen treatments this 'aggressive and destructive' cancer has gone to a count of something close to 130. And the PT scan shows that it hasn't spread.
Treatments will continue, but yesterdays was deemed unnecessary. Things are really starting to look up.
