I heard something on the radio today that made me stop and think. This guy said he was from England where there is largely no middle class…just the rich and the poor. In looking it up, it seems income can be anywhere from $25,000 per person, to nothing less than $250,000 per person. That is a huge difference. $50,000 a year means one thing is Smyrna, TN and a whole different thing is Manhattan or San Francisco too. So can amount earned be an indicator?
It can mean education and skilled labor as opposed to non-skilled labor.

Yesterday one of my co-workers called her UPS driver boyfriend "wealthy" to me, Paris Hilton is wealthy, not the UPS driver. You know?
I do think we are changing and jobs are changing from manufacturing to service and tech jobs...do these jobs make as much as manufacturing? Some do, some don't. And, some people see the service sector as "servants", so lower class, no matter what the pay scale is.
Bottom line though, it seems like the rich get richer and the Democrats in the governemnt are pussies and not actually doing anything to fix all this.
The multinational corporations owe no one and run everything...and it seems nothing is slowing them down, the anti- monopoly movement of the early 20th century is out the window.
The same things happen over and over in 30 year increments.....
and the news is stressing me out.
