Life as Usual
Hope all is well with everyone. Nothing much going on in DC but I did go to Mass. for Christmas and that was very interesting. Every time I think that I can spend time with my family without wanting to pull my hair out they prove me wrong. They actually drive me crazy and most are actually certifiably crazy. My second generation cousins are quote but seriously annoying. They're young and sarcastic so I dealt with them way better than my Mother did but they even got my nerves after a while. I tried to remember what I was like at their age and realized that if I had said half the shit that was coming out of their mouths to my aunts and uncles I would have found myself smacked across the chops shaking my head asking what day it was.
Its so strange to see what is tolerated today by kids. In the mall a kid says and I quote " Shit Mom those jeans are ugly" and her mom doesn't even blink she just puts them back and moves on. I mean when did this shit become okay? And why the Hell don't these parents give a little push back? It just made me feel like a cranky old lady. I wanted to smack that kid into next week. No talk, which is why its probably a good thing I have no kids. Any way enough with the get off my lawn rant.
By the way no still no XM but I got an Iphone and I love that fucking thing :)) Me so happy right now.

If you could have one thing right now, what would it be? I would have a heck of a lot more money . Period 'nuff said.
How do you style your hair?Wash, put the curlers in sleep and let it dry overnight.
What's the last book you read? When you are Engulfed in Flames by David Sedaris. He is truly one of the funnies writers I have ever had the pleasure of wasting a day reading. I know I should be doing other things but after laughing out loud at his stories I cant hate myself for not getting shit done. Also read his Holidays on Ice. You will laugh out loud.
What are you wearing now? Pajama pants and on Old Navy T-shirt with Utah on it. I have never been to Utah but I love my Utah T-shirt. Go fig.
What one physical feature would you change if you could?If some one could shave my hips and thighs down that would be great. I dont hate these features but they could definitely use some work.
What are your plans for today? Washing my hair. Yes its an exciting life and no you cant live it.
Who was the last person you hugged? My Mommy
If you had to receive the same (affordable) gift, besides money, from everyone you know on your next birthday, what would you want? Bags of Peets Mocha Java coffee ground. The best way to start your day ever with a dollop of caramel vanilla creamer.
Who is your least favorite relative and why? My uncle Beaver because he truly is the one of shittiest persons ever born. He sold the house out from under my aunt who was living there and didnt give her a dime of the money. Did I mention this was the house they grew up in.
How long does it take you to get ready in the morning? A solid hour and 15 minutes.
Name three of your favorite movies: The Matrix, Love Actually ( because it makes me want to fall in love every time I watch it) and Notting Hill because it had the best movie line ever, Anna Scott "After all...I am just a girl, standing in front of a boy asking him to lover her". Absolutely beautiful.
What's the last movie you watched? The Sound of Music. Its a tradition and a good one dammit.
What time is your usual bedtime? About 11:30.
If you could add one room onto the house that would serve any unique purpose you desired, what would the room be? A fully equipped office/entertainment/library room. It would be a busy room but hey I only live in a one bedroom apartment.
What is your favorite weather? A cool balmy autumn day. Need a sweater but not much else. Clear, crisp and with a slight wind.
What's your dream career? Travel writer. I joys of being paid to travel and write about what I see could possibly complete me.
What images were in your mind when you fell asleep last night? Home. Its good to be back.
What brings you joy? Pictures of Gracie smiling, getting off the plane and seeing Dawn and Richy (everyone should have someone that happy to see them).
If you could go back to one time in your life as an observer, when would it be? The moment I decided not to go back to school just to see what was going on that was so important that I didnt want to go back. I honestly cant remember.
What's your favorite food? Italian food and chocolate cupcakes with vanilla cake mix .
